“Hamburg TruckPilot”: Exhibition of an automated Truck

Theory becomes practice: As part of the “Hamburg TruckPilot” project MAN Truck & Bus and Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) have jointly tested autonomously driving prototype trucks in real-world applications. The practical test drives at the HHLA Container Terminal Altenwerder (CTA) showed that automation is no longer a dream of the future, but can be integrated efficiently and safely into customers’ actual logistics workflows.
• Highlight of the pilot project: Smooth practical test runs at Container Terminal Altenwerder (CTA)
• Integration into the regular transport process by the forwarding agency Jakob Weets e.K.
• Successful milestone for the development of autonomous driving systems in trucks, as made possible by the recently passed law on autonomous driving
